Ocean Lovers Festival is back in Bondi on Sat 12- Sun 13 March 2022

 

 

From Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th of February 2022, it is time to Dive in and make a date to be at the Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival . Enjoy some live music, great workshops such as learning to freedive, paint ocean art, join sunrise yoga and get a deal on a festival getaway plus much more.

Come and enjoy some live music on the solar powered Sunshine Stage on Saturday 12th at 1pm with the incredible Chase Zera and her Pop-Disco sound followed by singer-songwriter, environmental activist, surfer and mental health advocate Billy Otto. Saturday will close with the young Sydney indie-pop band Erthlings! On Sunday legendary ocean lover and festival veteran Declan Kelly will bring his love for roots reggae and Polynesian harmonies to the Sunshine Stage then Ocean angel Jane Walker and her band will be playing music inspired by her connection to the natural world and Sea, finally coastal loving Pacific Avenue will be closing our Sunshine Stage on Sunday promising to bring funky vibes and an arvo boogy.

On Saturday, Pro surfer Pacha Light and Surfrider’s Damien Cole join a panel on stage to discuss the future of surfing sustainably with some innovators and surf industry legends.  Meet and hear from the crew who are transforming how ocean loving surfers ride the environmental wave. Saturday, March 12, on the Sunshine Stage.

Bring the kids down to explore the Ocean Lab free workshops Sessions each day include ‘Bubble Bubble, Oil and Trouble’, ‘Deep Blue Ocean workshop’ and ‘The Tooth about Sharks’ coordinated by Fizzics Education and made possible with a grant from Waverley Council and Inspiring Australia.

Save the date for Sunrise Yoga for the Sea with Christian Ralston from Body Mind Life. Ralston is hosting a free session in the sand from 7.30am to 9am on Saturday, March 12. Bring your matt or a towel for a spot on the beach in front of the Pavilion – no registration needed. Wear something blue to share your love for the sea.

Meet “Plasticpus” and “I’m a crabby” – just two of the finalists of the  Litterarty schools waste art competition. Come and see these insightful creations from kids of all ages who made the final in Litterarty – Open free at Bondi Surf Club from 10am, Friday March 11 to Sun March 13. Prizegiving Saturday on the Sunshine Stage at 1.30pm.
