Making Science into Comedy

Scientists are trying to communicate their research all the time to the general public, sometimes with great success, but sometimes the research can come across as difficult to understand, difficult to relate to, or difficult to convey its importance. But what if there was another way to not only communicate your research but also make people laugh? What about comedy?

In todays show your host Anastasia is joined by scientists and comedians to chat all things science and comedy. We are welcoming back Luke Steller, our astrobiologist from UNSW and founder of Praxical, as well as Ru Halwala and Tom Stevenson from Scary Strangers, a comedy and improv duo extraordinaire. Luke has worked hard to produce the STEAM room comedy show coming to you at the Sydney Comedy Festival May 4th featuring some of your favourite scientists (including myself and Luke), Sydney’s hottest comedians, and Dr. Karl!

From left to right (Ru Halwala, Tom Stevenson, Luke Steller) at the EastSide Radio Studio!

Tickets are sold out but you can sign up for an update on more ticket sales or even more shows here.
