Driven by Beats and Engines: A German Interns Journey with music and Eastside Radio
Hello, Eastside Radio community!
My name is Samantha Rumery, and I’m excited to introduce myself as a new intern from Germany.
A lifelong passion for motorsports, including motocross and supermoto, has fueled my love for all things fast and thrilling. From the roar of engines on the racetrack to the emotional rush of driving, I’ve always connected these experiences with music – music that turns motion into pure emotion.
So, why radio and media, you might ask? I’ve always been fascinated by how music has the power to shape moods, tell stories, and bring people together across the world. Radio, in particular, offers a unique platform to share those stories, tapping into the pulse of communities in real-time. The immediacy and intimacy of radio, combined with its potential to blend entertainment and information, makes it an incredibly powerful medium. I chose to intern at Eastside Radio because it aligns with my passion for storytelling, and it allows me to merge my love for motorsports with my fascination for how music can enhance experiences. It’s about finding that perfect beat for every twist and turn, whether on the track or in everyday life.
During my time here, I’m excited to explore how the world of radio can amplify these emotional connections and help shape a community’s soundscape. Through this internship, I hope to learn more about broadcasting, sound production, and how radio can create meaningful connections between people – just as music does for me. I’m looking forward to diving into the behind-the-scenes world of Eastside Radio and contributing to the amazing work happening here!
Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! – This provides a glimpse into my background, what drives my passion for this internship, and what draws me to the world of radio.
