Arts Thursday with Maisy Stapleton on 24 August focuses on regional galleries in NSW and the psyche of creative people..
Firstly, we explore why so many creative people suffer anxiety and self-doubt.
Psychotherapist Peta Landman, herself an arts practitioner, author and former arts manager speaks to us about some of the issues creative individuals face in their work.
Whether this is writers’ block, procrastination or self-denigration, Peta works to assist each individual to understand the cause of their concerns and advises on ways to overcome these problems and move forward in their work.
Then follows a conversation with John Cheeseman, both President of the Regional and Public Galleries Association of NSW and Director of Mosman Art Gallery who speaks with us about regional galleries in NSW, their role and importance.
If you love art and are travelling around the state then you should be aware of the many regional galleries you can visit.
