Deep Forest belong to the few unique pioneers of electronic music, who with their highly recognizable sounds defined the concept of world music and shaped the all-new sound of ethnic-electronica. In 1995 Deep Forest won the prestigious Grammy Award for their album Boheme, were the first French artists to do so, and to this day, they only share this honor with Daft Punk.

Over the last 20 years Deep Forest released numerous highly regarded albums including exciting collaborations with Peter Gabriel, Josh Groban, Joe Zawinuls’ Syndicate, Paco Sery, Rahul Sharma, Lokua Kanza and of course, Gaudi.

There’s no easy way to encapsulate Gaudi’s vast body of work. For the past three decades, the innovative producer has been shattering genre barriers, pioneering the electronic and dance music worlds, and amassing a stunning collection of originals, remixes, collaborations, and soundtracks spanning the worlds of reggae, dub, breakbeat and cutting-edge psychedelic bass music.

Live, every GAUDI performance is unique and unpredictable in the best possible way as he never uses a computer onstage. A consummate musician and performer, he plays live theremin, minimoog, vocoder, tape echoes, electronic percussion, multi-effects, stylophone, melodica and dub sirens, and mixes live dub vocals thru his analogue equipment to maximum effect. Beyond the music, a burning passion reveals itself in a scathing rebuttal of tyranny and oppression through sonic resistance.

Winterfest-Tijuana-Cartel

Tijuana Cartel is like no other band in Australia. Like a genetic graft of The Chemical Brothers with that flamenco guitarist you once saw killing it in the streets of Seville, Tijuana Cartel’s sound is high-energy, guitar-driven, world music for indie kids.

An east meets west wonderland for those seeking sensory overload, euphoria, fat beats and heavy, bass-fueled electronica.
