Presented by Bronwyn Rennex

On Arts Thursday this week I speak to two people deeply involved in the Australian Photographic community, Cherie McNair, Director of the Australian Centre for Photography  and Sandy Edwards, artist, curator and Director of Arthere.

Cherie speaks about the ACP programs and their current exhibition by local artist Cherine Fahd called A Portrait Is A Puzzle. Sandy Edwards speaks about the new exhibition space opened up by Chris Gleisner, where she is currently exhibiting. The space is called 1047.

I also pay tribute to two amazing women artists who have departed this world too soon; Australian photographer Polixeni Papapetrou and Cambodian singer Channthy Kak.

Polixeni’s exhibition, completed only very recently,  “My heart – still full of her ” is now on at Michael Reid Gallery.

Channthy Kak, incredible lead singer of the Cambodian Space Project  passed away in an accident in Cambodia in March.
