Join me, Jane Raffan, Monday 25 June, for a program that takes an in-depth look at the important touring exhibition, ‘Black Mist Burnt Country: Testing the Bomb, Maralinga and Australian Art.’
My interviews are with Dr Lee-Anne Hall, Director of the Penrith Regional Gallery and the Lewers bequest, and we’ll be canvassing Australia’s nuclear history and politics in the context of themes raised by works in the exhibition.
And the music? We’ll be listening to a playlist in keeping with the nuclear theme – from satirical and folk numbers from the 1950s through 1970s, a couple of ’80s pop classics, and contemporary songs about Maralinga.

As always, I look forward to your company, 10:30 to noon.
