A Week Long Festival Celebrating the Artistry of Women in Jazz

Now in its seventh year the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival is a week long celebration of the artistry of the women in jazz, uniting musicians from around the globe and across Australia. From modest beginnings it has grown into one of the major events on the Australian music calendar.

This year sees international artists from the USA, Finland and Japan playing both their own shows as well as combining with the cream of Australian jazz talent. There’s an equally stunning representation of local artists performing in a number of settings from intimate trios to sixteen and seventeen piece big bands. With both a remarkable diversity of music and some unique one off collaborations this is a festival to truly inspire!

This years headliner is award winning singer and composer Charanee Wade from the USA.
