At 10:40 am, it’s time for Part 1 of a new series: Birds and Bones, with Dr Jacqueline Nguyen from the Australian Museum. Jacqui is an ornithologist who specialises in palaeontology and in the first episode, we talk about who an ornithologist is and what she does.
With the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing happening this weekend, I thought it a good opportunity to replay an interview I recorded in January this year with Andrew Tink, about his book, Honeysuckle Creek. This was the tracking station outside Canberra and, from there were beamed those amazing images of Neil Armstrong coming down the stairs of Eagle and setting foot on the moon.
Music will be mostly about birds but still a bit of moon and outer space music as well.
I look forward to your company.
