This April/May, Juniper Hall will be featuring the works of renowned photographer Peta Anne North in an exhibition called Beneath My Wings as a part of the Head On Photo Festival. Peta was the 2014 People’s Choice Winner & 2015 Finalist for the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize for her amazing artwork that showed off her unique approach to the photography medium.
Peta has been a fixture in the photography industry for the last 30 years where she combined her love of photography with her passion for flying. That combination produced some of the most unique photography in the industry today.
“I dangle with the plane door off, zoning in on what at ground level cannot be seen”, she said about her approach to her work.
“I look out at the landscape, to where sky meets earth, to where ocean meets horizon and I marvel at the beauty of nature as light, clouds, altitude and angles transform the natural and made landscape into incredible shapes.”
Peta has photographed in some of the worlds most difficult and isolated locations utilising digital and film formats depending on what her clients need for their works.
The exhibition will feature at Juniper Hall for the rest of this month and through to mid-May.
