Long-time Eastside supporter Dahlia Dior is a singer with enormous vitality and energy who has gained international acclaim due to her unique vocal talents. Dahlia authentically sings and interprets songs from diverse world backgrounds, including but not limited to songs in Greek, Yiddish, Russian, Italian, and French!
Dahlia has performed internationally with many world-famous musicians and in numerous well-known venues. She has also performed a one-woman show, written and produced by her, that acted as a tribute to 100 years of French cabaret. The show received critical acclaim.
And now, the Sydney community gets a chance not only to see a well-known performer, but to support a local who always does her part to celebrate local creative arts. Performing a dynamic interpretation of Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Barbara Streisand, Yves Montand, Jacques Brel, Django Reinhardt and more, Dahlia Dior gives “the full gamut” according to The Sydney Morning Herald. The show is sure to be a feast for mind, body, and soul with performances and stories from Dahlia’s experiences over the years.
