On Saturday 10 December, Moore Park is turning 150 and you’re invited to celebrate this historic milestone at a free family event from 10am to 3pm.
Over 70 organisations associated with Moore Park’s rich cultural and sporting past will come together on the day to celebrate the fantastic history of Moore Park – the green lungs of our city.
The day will be jam packed with fun activities. Here are some of the highlights:
Amusement rides such as Jumping Castle, Mini Ferris Wheel, Cup & Saucer, Super Slide and more guarantee lots of fun and adrenaline. Special guests on the day are past and present players from the NRL, the Olympic gold medal winning Women’s Rugby 7’s team, Sydney Swans, Sydney Roosters Cheerleaders, players from the Waratahs and the Tah Man. They will be on hand from 1pm until 2pm. Live performances by the Australian Roving Band, Sydney Girls High Choir and the Sydney Roosters Cheerleaders help celebrating the occassion plus you can listen to Eastside Radio playing throughout the whole day! Lots of fun and good music guaranteed!
The kids can enjoy free activities like nature and eco play, face painting, plaster painting activities and more! But not only children are provided with entertainment: For the first time go behind-the-scenes at Fox Studios, every 30 minutes throughout the day. Furthermore, the Sydney Cricket Ground will be opening the Ladies Stand and Museum to celebrate 120 Years of the Ladies Stand. Cute animals from Taronga Zoo and a Petting Zoo will be there to cuddle with and food trucks with a range of tastes and cuisines covered assure to appease your hunger.
