In 2013, the City of Sydney opened its first creative live/work residency program when it offered a 12-month affordable apartment lease on William Street to those working in creative fields. 6 talented artists were chosen and became the first residents of the William Street live/work apartments, with a second group commencing in mid-2015, and a third group having started in June of this year.
Following the success of the William Street location, The City of Sydney is now seeking applications for a new creative live/work space in Waterloo.
The space is located within the Waterloo Library grounds and is a self-contained apartment that is suitable for use as a working studio and also as a residential accommodation.
The lease would stand for 12 months, and the opportunity is suited to artists, creative collaborations/collectives or creative workers open to collaborating with the Waterloo Library. Applications close on Thursday August 25th at midnight!
