It’s that time of the year again for AusMusic T-Shirt Day!
On the 27th of November, the annual AusMusic T-Shirt Day (AMTD) is back on again featuring ambassadors such as Jessica Mauboy, The Kid LAROI, Hilltop Hoods, Missy Higgins, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Hoodoo Gurus and so much more who will help endorse and raise awareness for this important day.
About
Launched in 2013 through Triple J and quickly partnering with ARIA and charity Support Act, Aus Music T-Shirt Day is a day of fun and a day of awareness for the mental health of everyone involved in the Australian Music Industry; whether for famous musicians or managers or behind the scenes techs for local venues, this event is to help them and everybody else feel secure and safe in the ever-changing and hard world of the Australian Music Industry.
The day involves participants ranging from you and me to members of large corporate identities to wear their favorite bands T-shirt and make a donation to the AMTD website. Every donation counts, as all proceeds goes towards the charity Support Act, an organization which uses the proceeds they make to support struggling music business workers. Whether it’s paying their bills during hardship, providing free and confidential counselling to struggling individuals or providing First Nations support, Support Act is a necessary lifeline for all members of the Australian music industry.
Ambassadors
This years ambassadors for this important day include the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Hilltop Hoods, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and plenty more Australian acts who will help promote, sponsor and raise awareness for AusMusic T-Shirt Day.
As well as promoting, ambassadors collaborate with designers and artists to produce ranges of unique and diverse T-shirts which are available to purchase on the AMTD website. Unique designs include Jessica Mauboy’s First Nations range of T-shirts with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander influenced artwork and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s series of minimalist drawings of animals and other natural images onto shirts.

How can you help?
To help support the Australian music industry, donate to AMTD’s website @https://ausmusictshirtday.org.au/. Any donation counts and will help support the cause. On the website, you are also able to buy T-shirts from the ambassadors and artists involved. All proceeds and money from purchases will be donated back into Support Act, and will further help and promote AusMusic T-Shirt Day.
