A bit about me and my connections with music and radio
My name is Emmanuelle Francisci and I’m here at Eastside radio ready to take on this work experience! Im a 15 year old student in year 11 at the International French School in Maroubra. I was born in Paris but raised in Australia for the entirety of my life. I’ve always loved my life in here but the feeling of isolation has always been problematic for me. My biggest desire for many years has been to move to France which unlike Australia is closely connected to so many other places. Im still unsure though about what career sector I want to lean towards, but I do know that once I graduate I’ll probably take a gap year and explore the world. One of my favourite places to visit is the French island of Corsica, where my dad’s family grew up.
As for music, which of course is the ultimate subject of this blog, I honestly couldn’t live without it! Growing up in a bilingual household with a dad passionate about music, I was exposed to all sorts of sounds in all different languages and was able to form a deep connection with music. Im open to basically any genres except heavy metal, and one of my favourite pass times is exploring new music and artists to listen to. Music to me is not just a way of entertainment but especially a way to escape and feel emotions. My favourite artists are without a doubt the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, a famous band from Los Angeles.
I equally enjoy similar older bands such as Nirvana and the Stone Temple Pilots.
I also very much enjoy Tame Impala, a band who I find produce very unique sounds.
I’m excited for this experience and appreciate this opportunity given to me!
