Hybrid Solar Power Seminar

Upcoming changes in government schemes relating to solar power in Sydney have inspired one business to do their part and inform the community.

MV Solar is launching a new Sydney operation with the presentation of a Hybrid solar power and gross feed metering seminar being offered on June 28 at the South Coogee Bowling Club.

MV Solar sales and business representative Kerry Gilbert said, “We are excited to be able to offer this seminar to the Sydney community. It is a great opportunity for us to help inform them about not only solar power, but the changes to current government schemes and how to manage these changes.”

The upcoming seminar gives attendees and concerned citizens the change to ask questions about anything they may have heard or about any notices they may have received from energy providers about the end of the gross feed metering scheme that will come to an end in December of 2016. All of this will culminate in a discussion about hybrid solar power, a technology that allows solar power users to store extra energy that they’ve produced in order to use it at a later time.

MV Solar managing direction Michael Valantine is passionate about the new technology and about sharing it with the community. “Adding storage to your solar power really is a great way to boost the benefit of the system at this time of change,” he said. “When the gross feed metering scheme comes to an end, customers will need to re-assess their solar power system and how they use it. It will be quite a shock to some who receive the 60 cent tariff when they are no longer getting it, so it is important to be prepared and have a plan in place.”

Bookings for the seminar are required due to limited space and anyone who is interested in attending should call (02) 6547 1100 or email info@mvsolar.com.au to reserve their spot.
