Lachlan Laing at Eastside FM
My name is Lachlan Laing and I am a year 10 student. I am here at Eastside FM to partake in work experience. My life has always been greatly influenced by all different aspects of music. It is influenced by both the music I play and the music that I listen to, which are both often linked to one another. I listen to a wide variety of genres such as Rock, Jazz and Classical music. one of the most influential artists to me was the Beatles, as it opened the door to a whole new genre of music to me and made me want to play guitar which I now do.
I also play saxophone which my favourite genre to play is Jazz.
One of my favourite jazz tunes to listen to at the moment is That’s How We Roll by Gordon Goodwin.
Eastside is the perfect place for me to do work experience, as I want to expand the music that I am listening to, and learn more about the Australian music scene. I would also love to learn more about Radio Stations and how they work.
I hope to enjoy my time here at Eastside FM and cant wait to enjoy the rest of the week to come.
