Ready for what comes next!
Hi everyone! My name is Chiara Micciche, I am 21 years old and today was my first day at the Eastside Radio. I came all the way from Germany to start this intership. It is part of my studies in Germany, where I study journalism. I am very happy to be here!
More information about me. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, I dance jazz dance and love acting. Further I I also like meeting up with friends, having new adventures and I love to travel. I enjoy learning about new languages and new cultures.
That is also one of the reasons why I am here. I want to get to know Australia and the city with his culture and improve my language skills. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, but I haven’t had the opportunity to fly to the other side of the world yet. As a child, I always watched Emma’s chatroom and really wanted to go to Sydney. This is why I also associate this intro song with my childhood and Australia:
Now I’m here and I still don’t really realize it.
But why the Eastside Radio? I like radio because it connects music with people. You can try new things, invite guests and as a result get to know new people and perspectives. Furthermore, you get to learn so many new topics, learn something new every day and it never gets boring. You follow the daily lives of people who listen. That’s exactly what I love so much about the radio.
When I arrived at Eastside Radio today, the people greeted me really nicely. I like the different studios and I’m looking forward to recording things there soon and applying and expanding my knowledge from university in a professional environment. I’m curious to see what awaits me during the three months here and I’m looking forward to the time! I hope I learn a lot and go from a newcomer to a pro!
And besides, I’m not alone either because my best friend Alina, who is studying the same thing, is also doing the internship. I’m sure we make a strong team together and will have a great time here!
