Bondi celebrates the third Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival from 15 March to 19 March with different events and activities
The Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival taps into Australians love of their ocean lifestyle with the largest dedicated ocean science and cultural celebration in Australia. Through a festival of Ideas, Art, Music and Actions, the organisers want to engage the community on ocean issues and offer them solutions that are improving the health of the ocean. The interactive festival invites all-ages to dive into an informative and relaxed entertainment-rich environment. The organisers want to harness the power of innovation, science, technology, art and entertainment to accelerate positive change for our blue planet.

Last year’s Ocean Lovers Festival at Bondi Beach
From beach cleans to trashion parades and sunrise yoga, there is something for every ocean lover.
To name only a few festival highlights, there will be an Ocean Plastic Action Forum, a Film Program, a Beach Clean on Bondi Beach and live music.
Senior school students are also invited to a free half-day expo at Bondi Pavilion on Thursday, 16 March. There they get the chance to meet marine scientists and course leads from institutions such as the University of Sydney.
They can also hear about study options in science, particularly marine-related and ask questions of the scientists and faculty staff. Thereby, students get the chance to explore how science helps to restore nature and support the ocean.
With their festival the organisers want to use the power of entertainment, art and science to connect people and engage them in behaviour that positively impacts the ocean and the environment.
