Queer For Your Ears (Thursday 9:30pm) has a project on the boil that you will have so many reasons to love. Taking ‘Homosapien’ – yes, that pop classic from the 80s – as inspiration, a rainbow of local artists have given the track their personal spin. Each week on the show, Bibi and the Big Blue will introduce you to one, and YOU get to vote on which version queers your ears the most.
There are contributions from RavxN, Ladonna Rama, Aunty Vesna, White Knuckle Fever, MaxxxyT, Mezza Bass, Cybr.Spyder and two from Marguerite Montes, who brings us a cool groove mix and the fiery passion of flamenco.
Pete Shelley, the writer and original performer who died in 2018, was an icon of punk, pop and queer culture, and we think these unique takes on his song from our amazing local talents are a great tribute to his ethos of being exactly who you are.
Tune in every Thursday night from now until Christmas to hear Bibi and the Big Blue showcase one of these fabulous new tracks in every episode of Queer For Your Ears.
