“Such a diverse bunch of presenters and beautiful range of jazz and blues music. It’s what makes us unique and special here at East Side Radio, on 89.7 FM”
John Brewer, Moving Music
As an Eastside Radio supporter, I hope you know what an important part you play for the station. Every day, our volunteers work hard to create a special experience for the people in our community – in your community – and we couldn’t do that without your help.
This year, we are celebrating 34 years on air – 34 years of great music, 34 years of special memories and 34 years in our community, and all of it because of your support.
Since last year we’ve relocated our Transmitter within Waverley College, hosted another Global Rhythms Music Festival, welcomed over a dozen new programs on air and 30 more volunteers to the station and successfully renewed our license to broadcast, remain in our premises and fundraise for a further 5 years!
By renewing your support for the next 12 months you will be helping to ensure that Eastside Radio is able to stay on air, and you’ll be part of the rest of our journey. Your financial support will help fund important capital projects like building a second broadcast studio, produce more online content such as podcasts and On Demand interviews and the ever-expanding technological demands placed on us by the digital age.
Annual membership is just $88, and will ensure that Eastside can continue to give a voice to those overlooked by the mainstream media: The artists, the musicians, the community organizers, the volunteers and the people.
As a token of our thanks for renewing your Eastside membership, you will be generously rewarded with gifts of music, vouchers, tickets to a special screening at Palace Cinemas, access to giveaways all year round and the chance to win some amazing prizes exclusive to this year’s Radiothon. For the heads up, if you’re a jazz or blues festival lover, you’re going to want to tune in!
Thank you again for being part of it all as a member this past year. I hope you continue to believe in the power of community radio, in the diversity of the community reflected in our programming, in the promotion and fostering of a positive arts culture and in the pursuit of a creative landscape that makes our city proud.
