Bondi to Coogee Walk

The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is one of the most iconic outdoor experiences, and after doing it ourselves this weekend, we understand why. The track is about six kilometers long and connects Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach, passing several other beaches and ocean pools along the way. Most people need around two to three hours, depending on breaks. The path is well built with stairs and lookouts, easy enough for most walkers. We were lucky with the weather, lightly clouded and warm, perfect for a comfortable walk.

From the first steps, the sound of waves is constant. The trail winds along rugged cliffs, offering beautiful views of the Pacific. Every few hundred meters, the perspective changes to new rock formations, different shades of blue, and surfers waiting for the perfect wave. There are plenty of spots to pause. You can sit on a rock, watch surfers, or just enjoy the ocean breeze. It feels calming and almost therapeutic.

Each beach along the way has its own vibe. Some are lively, others quiet and relaxing. The ocean pools built into the rocks are a highlight, offering a unique swimming experience right on the coast. The walk isn’t just scenic, it’s a glimpse of Sydney life. Joggers, friends with takeaway coffee, surfers, and people doing yoga all add to the atmosphere.

Puppy Yoga

Yoga’s great, but with puppies it’s magic. – Yoga Paws

We also attended a 60-minute puppy yoga session this weekend. It combines regular yoga with puppies moving around the room, allowing participants to interact, cuddle, and observe the animals. While the yoga provides gentle stretching and relaxation, the presence of the puppies adds an extra element of engagement and enjoyment.

All puppies come from ethical, verified breeders or reputable rescue organizations. They are healthy, vaccinated, and well-socialized, and the sessions are designed to keep stress levels low while encouraging positive interaction with people. Each class features only a small group of puppies, so both animals and participants can enjoy the experience safely and comfortably.

The combination of yoga and interaction with the puppies makes the session both calming and uplifting. The puppies are incredibly cute, and it can be hard to focus on the yoga when you just want to cuddle and play with them. It’s a joyful, heartwarming experience that leaves you smiling and feeling lighter, and honestly, we almost wanted to take one of the puppies home with us.

Tropfest

Tropfest 2026 is the world’s largest short film festival, where around 30,000 people gathered in Centennial Park. Despite the crowd, it wasn’t too crowded, and thanks to large screens in different directions, everyone could see something. At the entrance, you were given a picnic blanket, which gave the event a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. If you were hungry or thirsty, there were many food and drink stands.

A total of 16 short films, each about seven minutes long, were shown, and this year’s theme was an hourglass, which had to be creatively incorporated into the films. It started at 12 pm and went on until 11 pm, with the films only being shown after sunset. Before that, you could listen to live music. In addition, everything was hosted, and there was a livestream for those who could not be there in person. The highlight was Hollywood actress Margot Robbie, who was part of the jury. She was so close to us, and she announced the winning film Crescendo on the stage in front of us. The film is about a mother who, in the stress of everyday life, almost forgets that she should enjoy the time with her children, as they grow up faster than you think.
