Sam Kim on the Bondi Sea Wall + Queer Screen’s 31st Mardi Gras Film Festival: Arts Wednesday

SamAbsurd “The pen is not mightier than the sword”

Sam Kim (aka SamAbsurd) started his art career as a graffiti artist in Sydney’s Western Suburbs. Over time he honed his aerosol skills to become one of the region’s most prolific mural artists. As well as beautifying countless walls, doors, skate parks and humble infrastructure boxes, he has also spent time as a youth worker encouraging kids to pursue their creative potential.

HIs mural at Bondi Beach is supported with the following quote on his instagram page: “The pen is not mightier than the sword. Pens do not do battle, nor swords poetry. Mighty is the hand that knows when to pick up the pen or when to pick up the sword.” – Wiegraf Folles
