The Ones That Disappeared by Zana Fraillon, tells the story of three children who are victims of human trafficking, searching for freedom and hope. Esra, Miran and Isa work for the Snakeskin gang, tending to plants in the dark and airless basement of a house they are not allowed to leave. Although they’ve been told that they belong to the Snakeskins, Esra knows that she belongs to no one and is determined to find freedom. Zana Fraillon is the 2017 ABIA – winner for The Bone Sparrow.
