Drowning statistics have been increasing every year so it is important for your child to know how to swim. There are two places where you can get your child to learn how to swim:
Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre was named in honour of Ian Thorpe who was a five-time Gold Medal winning champion.
Cook and Phillip Park Pool is located in CBD near St Mary’s Cathedral.
These Aquatic Centres offer a facility for children to learn how to swim. They provide instructors who are experienced where all children from ages 6 months and older are able to become skillful and efficient in the water. The instructors at the Aquatic Centre always try to make their lessons fun but at the same time also continuing your child with their course structure. They test your child’s abilities in the water to find out the level your child should be placed and it only takes approximately 10 minutes.
