ARTS THURSDAY 7th September at 10:30 am
Arts Thursday with Maisy Stapleton on 7 September presents two women, whose lives took new paths into the arts, following family-raising and a diversity of careers.
Barbara Fisher is a poet whose work explores aspects of a woman’s life – her memories, perceptions and domestic details, such as food and dress. Her wry humour is woven through her words and she probes values, social mores and things taken for granted.
Join me as I speak to Barbara about her work and she reads some of her poetry.
Barbara Fisher’s book of poetry – Rescued from Time is available from Ginninderra Press – go to: https://www.ginninderrapress.com.au/
Maria Stoljar is both a painter and a podcaster, who has developed a series of podcasted interviews, Talking with Painters, a YouTube site and Instagram posts focused on the lives, techniques and work of Australian artists, including Lucy Culliton, James Drinkwater and Lewis Miller.
Maria shares the story of how she developed these podcasts and details of some of her interviews.
