LEWA: “As human beings we feel the most empowered when we are fuelled by love. When we are surrounded with love. Community. Family. Balas. Sissys. As women of colour we discovered our strength when we saw our magic reflected in our sisters. We found our identity. Our voice. Our poems tell stories of our journey to womanhood, how we embrace the primal warrior to rise through suffering, how we honour the divine feminine to unite us in love.”
