CHARLEY CROCKETT, our favourite Texan cowboy is back for an Australian summer, dustin’ off his boots for a wild tour covering the country from east to west with his smouldering ballads and razor-sharp songs.
From Texas to Tamworth, the award-winning country and western superstar returns to Australia with his band THE BLUE DRIFTERS after his mind-blowing sold out shows here in early 2023.
Oozing Americana and drenched in timeless classic tales, CHARLEY CROCKETT’s neo-traditional country swagger lassos the listener into dreamlike nostalgic westerns of wandering, whiskey, and the wild, wild west.
His latest album is the best live album to be released in 2023, recorded LIVE AT THE RYMAN, the LP radiates Crockett’s energy at the historic Nashville venue capturing the dreamlike vibes and raw talent of one of the most exciting contemporary cowboys of today.
Last year, Charley Crockett sold out the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the home of the Grand Ole Opry. He and his band, The Blue Drifters, played in front of a gold velvet curtain with vintage-style running lights along the front of the stage.
It was a perfect match for his retro country sound and a big jump from Charley’s days busking on street corners in Nashville. That Ryman show was captured on Live from the Ryman, Crockett’s new album. You’ll be able to see that performance when it’s released as a concert film alongside the record.
Joining Charley and The Blue Drifters on the road will be highly celebrated Indigenous soul queen, EMMA DONOVAN who will wear the country crown, performing new music from her first solo album which captures the heart of nostalgic Australian country gospel.
Alt-country troubadours SWEET TALK will bring their vintage swagger to Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney, Ballarat and Korumburra.
